Sprint Review: The Review of the Sprint and Its Results

The Sprint Review is a central meeting within the Scrum Framework that takes place at the end of each Sprint. It provides the development team with the opportunity to present the results achieved in the Sprint and to receive feedback from stakeholders and the Product Owner.
Purpose of the Sprint Review
The main goal of the Sprint Review is to create transparency about the product's progress and to ensure that the delivered Increment meets the requirements and expectations.
Example Agenda for a Sprint Review
- Welcome (5 minutes): Brief introduction and overview of the agenda.
- Increment Presentation (20 minutes): The development team demonstrates the features completed in the Sprint and explains how they work.
- Feedback Round (20 minutes): Stakeholders, Product Owner, and team discuss the presented Increment and provide feedback.
- Look at the Product Backlog (10 minutes): The Product Owner provides an overview of the next planned features and priorities.
- Conclusion and Outlook (5 minutes): Summary of the meeting and preparation for the next Sprint.
Practical Example
A company developing an e-commerce platform has been working on integrating a new payment provider in the last Sprint. During the Sprint Review, the team presents the new payment option and shows how customers can use it in the checkout process. A stakeholder provides feedback on the user interface and suggests adding additional payment information.
Important Notes
- The Sprint Review should take place in an open and constructive atmosphere where feedback is welcome.
- It is not the right place for detailed technical discussions or to solve problems in detail.
- The main goal is to ensure that the team is on the right track and delivering valuable work for the company.
Conclusion
The Sprint Review is an essential component of the Scrum Framework and helps the development team and stakeholders work closely together to ensure the product meets market demands. It promotes communication, ensures transparency, and helps continuously improve the product.
